About Terravane
Founded in Krabi, Built for Krabi
Terravane was established in 2019 by two people who had each spent years navigating the Krabi rental market — one as a long-term resident, one as a recurring visitor who eventually chose to stay. Both had seen how much difference it made to have someone in your corner who understood the landscape before the search began.
The company operates with a deliberately narrow focus. We don't cover Phuket, Koh Samui, or Bangkok. We work in Krabi province — Ao Nang, Railay, and the quieter stretches inland — because this is where our knowledge is genuine and useful.
Our mission is straightforward: help people find properties that suit their time here, and keep those properties in good condition once they're settled. No pressure, no overstatements, just honest work.

The People
A Small Team That Stays Close
We're not a large agency. We're a compact group of people who have lived here, worked here, and chosen to stay.
Pim Nakorn
Founder & Property Consultant
Has lived in Krabi since 2015. Knows every road, boat route, and seasonal quirk of the peninsula. Handles long-term home searches and lease guidance.
Marcus Theron
Co-Founder & Retreat Coordinator
South African by origin, Railay resident by choice since 2017. Manages the short-term retreats portfolio and ensures each property meets Terravane's standard for livability.
Araya Wongpan
Stewardship Lead
Local to Krabi province, Araya oversees the Tropical Stewardship programme. Her understanding of the coastal climate and local contractor network keeps the care service dependable year-round.
How We Work
Quality Standards We Hold To
These aren't policies written for appearances — they're the practical commitments that shape every interaction with clients and properties.
Property Verification
Every property we present has been physically visited and assessed. We check ventilation, water pressure, condition of fixtures, and access to transport before listing anything.
Transparent Communication
We won't oversell a location or downplay its limitations. If a property has a drawback worth knowing about, we say so — before the viewing, not after.
Client Data Protection
Contact details and personal information shared with us are used only to respond to enquiries and manage service delivery. We do not pass information to third parties.
Lease Fairness Review
For long-term placements, we review lease agreements with clients to identify any unusual clauses or terms that may warrant discussion with the landlord before signing.
Climate-Aware Care
Tropical stewardship is built around Krabi's actual climate cycle, including monsoon preparation and post-storm checks — not generic property management checklists.
Settling Support
New arrivals can count on practical guidance beyond the lease itself — from SIM cards to transport logistics, we help clients find their footing in a place that's new to them.
Property Rental in Krabi — The Terravane Perspective
Krabi province draws people for obvious reasons: dramatic limestone cliffs, clear coastal waters, and a pace of life that many find hard to leave. But finding a property here — whether for a week-long retreat or a year of settled living — is a different matter from admiring the scenery. The rental market has its own rhythms, its own gaps between what's advertised and what's real.
Railay, in particular, presents challenges that first-time visitors underestimate. Its isolation is part of its appeal, but it also means that everyday logistics — groceries, transport, contractor access during the stewardship of a rented home — require local knowledge to manage well. Ao Nang is more accessible but still benefits from guidance around which areas suit which lifestyles.
Terravane works only in this geography. That focus means we can speak to specific roads, specific landlords, specific seasonal patterns that broader platforms simply cannot. Our rental portfolio is curated rather than comprehensive — we'd rather present fewer properties we trust than more properties we haven't verified.
For tenants who travel between homes, our stewardship programme addresses the real consequences of leaving a tropical property unattended — humidity accumulation, pest activity, the effects of monsoon weather on roofing and drainage. Monthly visits, photo records, and direct landlord communication keep small problems from becoming larger ones. That's the kind of practical service that Krabi's climate actually calls for.
